Golden Retriever Mix in GA to be Gassed by Monday!

FURTHER UPDATE: I was informed that someone pulled Tanya out of there. We do not know whether she was adopted, rescued or moved elsewhere to be humanely euthanized to avoid the gas chamber.

UPDATE: What they said a rescue is supposed to get her anytime this week but decided not. Tanya has until this Friday (May 16) to be gassed.

Correction: Tanya is NOT deaf/blind but possibly hard of hearing. I do not know why this person said she was.

We hope and pray Tanya finds her forever home where she will be loved much and cared for as she deserves. Many bright blessings to Tanya.

Yes, me too.

No dogs or cats should ever have a death sentence for some of humans carelessness, greed and/or irresponsibility of bringing them on the earth.

While I abhor having happy and healthy animals put down, there are not enough homes. I can't believe gassing cats and dogs are still practiced. It is horrendeous -- slow and painful way to die. It does happen in some states, mostly in the South and Ohio.

Because Tanya is already on my blog even if the information is not accurate, it will be left there as it's not Tanya's fault.

Hi,

I cut and pasted the following regarding Tanya (her picture didn't show up) but luckily, she was adopted May 13th according to their website. :-)

Hi rootsgirl62:

I just got off the phone with the shelter and they said Tanya is still there, waiting to be either adopted or rescued.

I tried to find on the website the information where you saw this but there was none. Care to provide a link? Thank you!

If you scroll down the page at the link listed here, it says she is safe and has a forever home.

I thought it was an up to date listing??? I'm so sad to hear that she's STILL there. The site listed above is pretty misleading then (incorrect). I sincerely apologize for the error.

It appears they didn't update it when someone didn't actually get her out.

Sometimes some shelters and petfinders keep it adopted on their page when in fact they have been put down. Why? I don't know.

I wish there is someone in the area of GA who can move those who have no chance to other place to be euthanized rather than gassed. Euthansia still gives me the creeps but gas chamber is far worse.
