Deaf Boxer in NC Needs Help!

“JUNE BUG” (ID# 15174) is 4 year old purebred deaf Boxer that knows sign language. She was dropped off today at the shelter b/c her family is going through a divorce. They’ve had her since she was born. She is great with children and other dogs, but her sheet says not so much with cats. She is already housetrained. Sheet says that she hasn’t been spayed. Because of her handicap (deafness) she will not understand anyone at the shelter and doesn’t know what is happening to her. If anyone can please go rescue her before she gets sick and depressed, you’d be doing her a favor of a lifetime! She has a sponsor of $40 already.

7 Months Old Deaf Pup Needs Help in PA

Go to Yuri's petfinder link below to sponsor (donate what you can)

Yuri
Yuri is a male, deaf, all white, stray approx. 7 mos old. He does well with other dogs but will need a normal puppy training. Pictures are below but I am told that he is much cuter in person. He really needs to get out of the shelter. He is located at the York County SPCA. If you know of any other rescues for hearing impaired dogs...please pass this to them. York County SPCA in PA is NOT a no-kill shelter and euthanize often for space.

Macy May Needs Home to Call Her Own in NJ!

Macy May

This is Heather, Canine Rescue Coordinator for Camden County Animal Shelter, Blackwood, NJ.
We have an absolutely wonderful young pitbull/terrier mixed breed girl named Macy May, who was surrendered to our Shelter when the family's home was foreclosed upon.

http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12857683

Macy May is about three years old and was trained in the use of hand signals. She's very bright and energetic. She is fine with other animals. We have recommended children over toddler age due to her exuberant personality.
We are severely overcrowded and we are concerned that Macy's disability will cause adopters to pass Macy on by. As she is used to being in a home, we would like to see her out of the kennel environment and with a group experienced in helping find placement for special needs dogs.

If you can help or know someone who can, kindly contact me at info@ccas.org. As always, that you for all that you do for the animals!

Ashes is 11 years old and is deaf. Neither slow him a bit. He is very active, follows hand signals and gets along very well with the other dogs in the exercise yard. The person who has had him can no longer support a large dog. Can you help Ashes live out several more years? If we don't get help very soon we will have to euthanize him since our kennel is constantly over crowded. Come see him and you will not regret the trip.

This poor gal has no rescue and no home! She is a purebred Australian Shepherd who is deaf (I am assuming bilaterally) and needs immediate rescue. Good with other dogs (obviously) and sweet natured, just scared in the kennel environment. Deaf dogs are wonderful (I have fostered three) and this girl deserves a chance. I wish I could take her, my heart is aching for this beauty.

Purebred Deaf Senior Cat in MA

UPDATE: ADOPTED!REX

Our rescue took in Cashmere, an older (at least 10 years) cat, from an abusive situation. He is a stunner - purebred close and curly Devon Rex coat, with blue points. He is also a character - talks loudly and constantly, and is in constant motion when he's awake. He adores people, other cats are fine, but not of great interest to this regal beauty. All of his senior bloodwork and urine are normal, and normal thyroid function. However, he pees a lot! He benefits from having several boxes available to him.

We are interested in getting him into a home that will be able to care for a currently healthy senior. A free will adoption fee is fine, to help cover the vetting for this boy.

http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12673876&mtf=1

Hi,

I am desperately trying to help the Valley Humane League find an Aussie rescue who will be able to help this lovely little guy who is need. This little boy was born deaf on 11/06/08 and has been in foster since being owner surreneder to the Valley Humane League in early December. I am told he is a super friendly pup and has his sight in tact. The community around this shelter is poor and very rural. Dogs are generally kept outside on a chain and a deaf dog is not sought after and has a very dire future here.

Jenna is the manager of this shelter and is open to shipping this pup to an appropriate rescue, plus, as soon as tomorrow a transport is going to pick up others and will be returning to Colorado late in the evening. If anyone can help this beautiful boy, please contact me as or Jenna as soon as possible.Thank you for your consideration,
